Three things happen, in this order
Get a band
Collect a wristband or card at the gate and link it to your account in the app. One tap to link, and it is yours for the event.
Top up
Add money from MTN MoMo or Airtel Money, or by card. Approve the prompt on your phone and your balance updates.
Tap to buy
Hold your band against the seller's phone. The amount comes off your balance straight away, and you both see it confirmed.
Two sides of the same night
If you are going out
- Your money stays yours. Whatever you do not spend goes back to your own mobile money number.
- No cash to carry. A lost band can be blocked from the app; your balance is not on the band, it is on your account.
- A PIN above your own limit. You choose the amount at which SwiftPass asks for it.
- Every tap on record. Your history shows what you spent, where, and when.
If you are running the event
- Shorter bar queues. A tap settles in under a second. No change, no counting, no float.
- Live takings. See what every stall has sold while the event is still running.
- Gate and bar on one system. Tickets, entry and payments share the same band.
- Settlement to your account. Takings are paid out after the event, with a full transaction record.
