Delete your SwiftPass account

Effective 1 October 2026. Applies to the SwiftPass app published by Zafrionet Ltd.

Withdraw your balance first

Closing your account does not send your money anywhere. Withdraw whatever is left to your mobile money number before you start, or contact us and we will arrange it.

Open Wallet, tap Withdraw, and send the balance to your registered number. If the balance is below the withdrawal minimum, email info@zafrionet.com and we will return it another way.

If you have a withdrawal still in progress, wait for it to finish. We cannot close an account while money is moving.

Delete from the app

  1. Open Profile The last tab in the SwiftPass app.
  2. Tap Settings Then scroll to the bottom of the list.
  3. Tap Delete account We will show you your balance and anything still in progress.
  4. Confirm Type DELETE and confirm. This cannot be undone.

Delete by email

If you no longer have the app installed, write to info@zafrionet.com from the email address on your account, with the subject Delete my SwiftPass account.

Include the mobile money number registered to the account so we can confirm it is yours. We will verify your identity before deleting anything, and we will not act on a request we cannot verify — that check protects you from someone else closing your account.

We complete verified requests within 30 days and email you when it is done.

What is deleted

  • Your name, email address and phone number.
  • Your profile photo and your SwiftPass handle.
  • Your wallet PIN and its security state.
  • Your sign-in credentials, including a linked Google account.
  • Saved contacts and anyone you have sent money to.
  • Notification tokens, so the app stops reaching your phone.
  • Your business profile and payout details, if you had one.

Any wristband or card linked to your account is released and can be reissued to someone else.

What we have to keep

We cannot delete everything, and it is better to say so plainly than to promise otherwise.

WhatFor how longWhy
Transaction records 10 years Rwandan law requires financial records to be retained, and anti-money-laundering rules require them to remain traceable.
Top-up and withdrawal records 10 years These are held by Centrika Ltd as well as by us, as the licensed payment provider.
Band payment history 10 years A payment made with a band has to stay explainable if it is ever queried.

These records are separated from your profile so far as the law allows. What remains is a financial record of transactions, not a profile of you, and it is not used to contact you or to build any picture of you.

What happens afterwards

  • You will not be able to sign in, and the account cannot be restored.
  • Tickets you were holding stop working. Use them or transfer them before you delete.
  • You can create a new SwiftPass account later with the same email or phone number. It will start empty; nothing carries over.

Questions before you delete?

Write to info@zafrionet.com. If you only want to stop using SwiftPass for a while, you can simply sign out — we will not charge you for an idle account.
