Privacy Policy
1 Introduction
Welcome to Findazone.
Findazone is a real estate discovery and property-listing application that helps users find houses, apartments, bedsitters, commercial spaces, land, and other properties in Kenya. It also enables landlords, property owners, and authorised agents to create and manage property listings.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the Findazone application and related services.
By using Findazone, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

With your permission, Findazone may collect your device's approximate or precise location while you are using the app.
Location information may be used to:
- Filter and display properties near your current location
- Show houses and listings within a selected area
- Calculate the approximate distance between you and a property
- Display your position and the property's position on a map
- Open navigation or provide directions to a selected property
- Improve location-based search results and recommendations
Location access is optional. You may deny or disable location permission in your device settings and manually search by estate, neighbourhood, town, county, or another location. Findazone does not require continuous background location access for ordinary property search and directions.
We may collect information about how you use Findazone, including:

We may automatically collect certain technical information, including:
- Device type and model
- Device identifiers

We may use analytics services to understand how Findazone is used, including feature access, session duration, user engagement, search activity, and error reports.
3 How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Create, authenticate, and manage user accounts
- Display, review, approve, and manage property listings
- Help users search and filter properties by location and other preferences
- Provide maps, distance information, navigation, and directions
- Enable communication between property seekers and landlords, owners, or agents
- Process or confirm payments for paid services
- Personalise property recommendations and search results
- Improve application functionality, reliability, and user experience
- Provide customer support

4 Maps and Location Services
Findazone may use Google Maps or another mapping and navigation provider to display property locations, estimate distance, and provide directions.
When you use a map or request directions, the mapping provider may receive information such as your current location, destination, device information, and route request. The provider processes that information according to its own privacy policy and terms.
Property owners and agents should only submit accurate property locations that they are authorised to publish. For safety and privacy, Findazone may display an approximate area instead of an exact property location until a user takes an authorised action, such as viewing full listing details or requesting directions.
5 Firebase and Cloud Services
Findazone may use services provided by Google Firebase and Google Cloud, including:
Used for secure registration, login, and account management.
Used to store user profiles, property listings, search-related information, enquiries, and other application data.
Used to store property images and other listing media.
Used to understand app usage and improve user experience.
Used to monitor crashes and application performance issues.
Google may process certain information in accordance with its own Privacy Policy: Google Privacy Policy.
6 Data Storage
User, property, and application data may be stored using secure cloud infrastructure.
Data may be stored or processed on servers located outside your country of residence, subject to applicable safeguards and legal requirements.
7 Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information.
We may share information only when reasonably necessary, including:
- With landlords, property owners, or agents when a user submits an enquiry or requests contact
- With property seekers when a landlord, owner, or agent publishes contact or listing information
- With mapping and navigation providers to display locations and provide directions
- With Firebase, cloud hosting, analytics, communication, and payment service providers used to operate the app
- With service providers acting on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations
- When required by law, regulation, court order, or legal process
- To protect users, prevent fraud, enforce our terms, or address security threats
8 Location Controls
You control whether Findazone may access your device location. You can enable or disable location permission through your device settings.
Disabling location permission may limit nearby-property filtering, automatic distance calculations, map positioning, and directions from your current location. You can still search for properties by manually entering or selecting a location.
9 Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss, and destruction.
Users are responsible for keeping their login credentials secure. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
10 Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Findazone services, maintain listing and transaction records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
Property listings may remain stored while active and for a reasonable period after removal for moderation, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backup, or legal purposes.
Users may request account deletion subject to applicable retention obligations.
11 User Rights
Depending on applicable law, users may have the right to:
- Access personal information held about them
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of personal information
- Request a copy or export of certain information
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Disable location access through device settings
- Object to or restrict certain uses of information where legally available
Requests may be submitted using the contact information below or through the Delete Account section on this page.
12 Property Listings and User Responsibility
Landlords, property owners, and agents are responsible for ensuring that listing information, images, prices, contact details, and property locations are accurate, lawful, and authorised for publication.
Users should verify property details and the identity or authority of a landlord, owner, or agent before making payments, signing agreements, or visiting a property.
13 Children's Privacy
Findazone is not directed toward children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
14 Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to Findazone, legal requirements, or our data practices.
Material changes may be communicated within the application, through our website, or by another appropriate method. Continued use of Findazone after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
